On todays Baby Babble Post I will give all of you an update on Madeleine's Daily Routine.
Ever since I've started weaning Maddy onto solids, I have also changed her routine.
I had used my baby bible "Save Our Sleep" by Tizzie Hall as a routine guideline.
Click here for my book review and Maddys previous routine.
Madeleine starts her day. Mr Pham gives her a change, before he heads off to work and I give her a bottle feed and allow her to play in her Jumperoo, while she is watching her cartoons.
Time for her solid breakfast, I serve her two courses, one savory and one sweet.
We then have some quiet time and read a storybook together.
Change her nappy, swaddle her and put her down for her morning nap (allowing her to self settle).
During her nap is where I usually wash her bottles, do the laundry, cleaning here and there and check my emails.
Wake Maddy up from her nap and give her a nappy change.
Give her bottle feed.
Tummy-time/Playtime with mummy
Solids with Ellen DeGeneres (yes we are big fans).
I feed Maddy a two course meal, one savory and one sweet.
She has a little walk around in her walker after her meal, which helps to tire her out :-P
Change her nappy, swaddle her and put her down for her afternoon nap (allowing her to self settle).
Mummy's DIY/Free time.
Madeleine wakes up, has a nappy change and a bottle feed.
By this time Mr Pham comes home (usually) and it's playtime with daddy.
Mr Pham and I usually take Madeleine for a walk around a park close to home, so she can have a short nap. Since it's been a bit chilly outside lately, we just put her down for a nap in her cot.
Madeleine wakes up and has her solid feed - two courses, one savory and one sweet.
She then enjoys some "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" (She just loves that show :-S)
We start her bedtime routine.
Maddy does tummy time and is given a bath by her daddy.
Has her last bottle feed.
We have our family prayer, kiss Maddy goodnight, swaddle her and put her to bed (allowing her to self settle).
For me, like all routines, this routine has helped me greatly. I am finally sewing again, getting all the housework done and have some "me" time.
I found having a routine is similar to having a check list, all Madeleine's needs are met, and she knows what's coming next.
I hope you all have enjoyed this Baby Babble Post, and find this as a good guideline for all you mothers out there.
I'll end this post with a beautiful smile from Maddy.
Her first time trying out her walker, she's absolutely in love with it. She gets to follow Mummy everywhere. |
