We had our first taste of Din Tai Fung in Seoul. |
 |
The Dumplings were alrightish... I guess I'm just use to the taste of MSG. haha. |
 |
Hey, just in case you didn't catch PSY's music video on youtube, T.V and in stores... they always have it playing on buildings! |
 |
Another stop at Myeongdong Shopping District |

Posing with my freshly cut hair |

Madeleine was a bit of a celebrity in Seoul. Every second person stopped us in our tracks and played with her, took pictures of her - we were even fortunate to have a few restaurant owners babysit her (giving her a tour of the kitchen) while we ate. |

From This... |
 |
To This!
We ate at a restaurant where you choose your marinated meat, your vegetables/toppings and they mix and cook it with rice/noodles on a stove that is at your table, and you eat it right out of the pan. |

Taking a little shopping break to rest our tired feet. |

Cheonggyecheon Stream at Dondaemun |
Paid a visit to Dongdaemun Markets and the one word to describe this busy and crowded area is huge! Imagine an entire suburb dedicated to... markets!
Dongdaemun was opened in 1905 and is a huge attraction for business owners, fashion designers (for the mountains of fabrics you can find here) and tourists.
It was so big that we had only stayed there for an hour because it was so overwhelming.
They even divided Dongdaemun into sections - one for retailers and one for whole sellers.
They definitely live up to the slogan "You name it, we sell it!". I do wish we were given enough time to explore this shopping district.
Cheonggycheon Stream is a 5.8km stream that runs through the city and ends in the Han River.

My serving of Jjajangmyeon (Black Bean Noodle) in Dongdaemun |
We then made a second visit to Namdaemun Markets, where we purchased some traditional souvenirs, clothing items and street food.
 |
Hangwa, Traditional Korean Cookies - purchased from Namdaemun. |
I had filmed the man making Hangwa at Namdaemun. It was so impressive on how he made a hard piece of honey into a delicate (and delicious) piece of dessert!
Stay tuned for more posts on our 7 days in Seoul, South Korea!
