DIY: Vintage Script Nails

An easy DIY Tutorial on how you can create this Vintage Script look to your nails using items at home - Yup! That's right, learn how to do this without the hassle of nail stickers!

Inspired: I had a request from my BFF MissAA for some nail tutorials, this one in particular.
Verdict: I've tried using nail stickers and who was I kidding? It's way too fiddly and time consuming, when beauty gurus say it's convenient - it's a lie! Hahaha, so this was way better to get the vintage effect I wanted so badly when I tried the nail stickers and to be honest, it's very easy.
It was also very entertaining to see my husbands shocked face when I asked for the Local paper, considering it's automatically thrown in the trash.

What You Will Need:
  • A Newspaper Article.
  • Clear Alcohol (rubbing alcohol, or if you drink you can use Vodka)
  • Q-tips
  • Nail Polish (I chose a light colour - nude)
  • Clear Coat Nail Polish

Step One
Apply an Opaque coat of your chosen nail polish colour - allow to fully dry.

Step Two
Using your Q-tips apply your alcohol to your nail liberally.

Step Three
While the nail is still wet with the alcohol quickly press the newspaper article down on your nail with a lot of pressure - allowing it to transfer to your nail.

Step Four
Carefully peel off the newspaper article, it should look something similar to the image.
Continue with the rest of your nails.

It should look something similar to this once your nails are complete.

Step Five
Add a layer of clear top coat, this completes the look and protects the nail art.

And there you have it! Your own Vintage Script Nails. When you get bored at least you have something at the tip of your fingers to read! haha.
