Recipe: Tomato Pasta Bake

serving suggestion

Today's easy busy life friendly recipe will be Tomato Pasta Bake. If you're sick of the regular pasta, have pasta left overs or just can't be bothered thinking about dinner this is the perfect quick fix.
I've always turned to this meal when I just can't be bothered organizing a meal but still want hubby to think I made an effort.

Ingredients:
1. Pasta (I've used spiral Pasta)
2. Tomato Spaghetti/Pasta sauce
3. Beef Mince
4. Grated Cheese

Optional: (I've just used these ingredients to finish up the vegetables we have in our refrigerator)
5. Diced Tomatoes
6. Shallots/Spring Onions

Method:
Step One
Preheat Oven to 120 Fan forced.
In a large pot boil water and cook your pasta.

 Step Two
In a separate pan with oil cook your minced beef.
Once beef is cooked add your extra ingredients (mine were tomatoes and shallots).

Step Three
Add the Tomato Spaghetti/Pasta Sauce and allow to simmer for a couple of minutes, meanwhile drain your now cooked pasta and place in a large bowl/pot/container.

Step Four
Add the now made sauce to the pasta and stir.
While the pasta is still steaming hot quickly add the cheese and mix together.

Step Five
Pour your pasta in a greased Tupperware that's oven safe.
Top with cheese, my family is a big fan of cheese, so I did it liberally.
Place in oven and allow cheese to melt. Remember we only want the cheese to melt, not the pasta to be over cooked so keep an eye on your pasta bake. It took me roughly 8 minutes in my preheated oven until the cheese was perfectly melted.

You now have delicious cheesy tomato pasta bake that the kids will love!
I usually serve with garlic bread or pesto bread (my delicious alternative to garlic bread that is easy to make, which I will put a quick recipe up one day).

I hope you enjoy making this easy dish, remember if you have left over pasta or spaghetti feel free to skip the steps and start from Step Four.
