Someone is 5 Months old today!

Maddy has turned 5 Months today. When she was first born I thought time was going by slow... now I see her being a 5 month old baby and I think... where did time go?
- I've seen significant developments with her gross motor skills. Tony and I are always cautious when holding her, she's quick to grab anything in sight. (She's pulled so many things off our dining table it isn't funny. She even started going for my glasses on odd occasions!! D-:)
- Her concentration level and her curiosity is impressive, she's always quietly watching me doing housework, blogging, dancing or sewing. If I'm washing the dishes and she suddenly goes quiet I check up on her and she's sitting there watching T.V (she loves Who Wants To Be A Millionaire... don't ask me why).
- This month we've trained her to sleep in her own room, main reason being she's not use to my husbands sleep talking or snoring and my coughing and sneezing, she loses sleep = we lose sleep. The results are amazing! She now sleeps 7pm - 7am straight, no stirring, no mummy and daddy can you please rock me back to sleep.
- We've started weaning Maddy onto solids. I introduce something new every 3-4 days and it's probably been my third week. So far she's tried baby rice cereal (which I also mix with her other puree's to dilute the strong taste of the puree), apple, carrot, pear and zucchini. During solid meal time I give her a 2 course meal (one savoury and one sweet, which she loves!). Only a few days ago has she gotten use to eating and she's actually enjoyed it. I've been weaning her according to the weaning crash course on the Tizzie Hall book I reviewed a few posts ago.
- Her teething rash disappeared for a few weeks, but I've noticed it flaring up again this week and I've noticed her noming her hands and everything within her reach.
- She had her immunization last month which went pretty well (way better than her first immunization). She only cried for a few seconds and afterwards she went back to normal, there was no fever, no vomiting and no side affects. She didn't lose her appetite and she wasn't fussy - which was a nightmare the first time around.
- The longest she sat up on her own this month was 2 minutes.

That's pretty much all her developments and activities this month. Next month will be a very big month for Madeleine, she will be half a year old and she will be traveling overseas for the first time.

I will leave you all with a few memento photos I snapped last month of Madeleine.

Madeleine happy and excited on our way to the Doctors for her immunization.

"YUCK!" Trying Apple Puree' for the first time.

She moves so much now, I looked away for 1 minute and when I looked back she was almost off her play mat!

Madeleine visiting her grandfather in hospital. Dad always says she the best medicine he could have. :-)

Happy girl in her new high chair

She absolutely loves playing with this toy on her high chair. It has a suction cup on the bottom... which doesn't seem to work because I am always bending down to pick it up from the floor after Maddy throws it.

Sitting up with dead arms. LOL. Her head looks so big for her body. Did I tell you guys she's getting a mustache? (nooo! Damn Asian genes!)

The Falling Asleep Anywhere Segment of Madeleine-Ava!

1. In her jumperoo, she literally jumped herself to sleep.

2. Planking on her mama's lap. I was wondering why she became still.

3. In her high chair. Maybe she had a food coma?
