Baby Babble : Someone is 9 Months today!

It's so weird to think that she will be turning 1 in just three months time. It feels like it was just yesterday when she couldn't even hold her own head up and needed assistance in burping, now she's moving around and babbling away like there is no tomorrow.
She has progressed so much last month, I'm finding it over whelming to keep up with her.
  • She is now sprouting another two teeth - Maddy now owns 4 teeth, 16 more to go until she has a full set.
  • She is now crawling - crawling like The Grudge, but still she is getting from point A to point B. I actually don't think she'll be crawling for long because she is now trying to stand up.
  • Standing up - After three days of her finally crawling she then started using all means of furniture and human legs as support to stand up.
  • Straws - She is now drinking from a straw, which is so convenient in terms of packing her nappy bag.
  • Grown Up Food - So oranges and rice is now a staple in her meals, she absolutely loves feeding herself pieces of orange.
  • Forms of communication and imitation - She's been imitating Mr Pham and I more than ever.
  • I now find when I read books to her she turns the pages and points at the pictures.
  • In terms of her appetite, it has certainly grown - she's been drinking less milk and more solids.
  • Routine Change - Madeleine wasn't due for a routine change until this month, but she had become more restless and woke up quite a few times through out the night, so I had updated her daily routine a few weeks early, which I will blog about in a later post.

Words cannot express how much I love her, getting up and out of bed early in the morning everyday is such a struggle, but as soon as her smiling face greets me good morning, it makes it all worth it. Seeing her laugh or copy everything I do warms my heart, and just when I thought I couldn't love her anymore, I see her peacefully sleeping. Why is she so wonderful?!

Her favourite meal of the day - Oranges for dessert after dinner.

I can't wait until we hit the warmer seasons here in Australia, so I can take her to the beach.

Baby Babble : Someone is 8 Months today!

Someone has turned 8 Months today! Never thought that this day would come so quick. She is growing by the day! I honestly can say that every morning when I get her from her bed room she is a few kgs heavier and 20% cheekier.
Apart from a growing appetite and a growing urge to always babble away, Madeleine has developed so much since my last Baby Babble post update (when she turned 6 months).
  • She officially has 2 teeth! The week we arrived back from our holiday in South Korea, Mr Pham had pointed out that her second tooth was popping out, and sure enough two days later it had fully sprouted!
  • She is a lot more energetic - I've noticed she's napping less during the day, she's dropped her 4:30pm nap, and has now shortened her 1:20pm nap to an hour rather than her usual 2, her 9:20am nap is still the usual 2 hours.
  • She loves to sit and play than anything else - I've tried putting her in her jumperoo, and she soon loses interest after about 10 minutes, but put her in her play pen and she can stay in there for hours.
  • She has yet to crawl - A few weeks ago I noticed her crawl maybe 2 steps whilst trying to grab my ipad, but then she fell flat on her stomach and gave up. Ever since then she hasn't developed in crawling but I commonly find her trying to launch herself, I've tried putting her on all fours and her arms collapse from under her heavy weight. LOL!
  • Growing appetite - Last month Maddy had completely lost her appetite for any solids, especially when it was fed to her with a spoon, I found myself at battle with her when it came to her solid meals. I read up that a few babies go through that phase - mostly because they priorities playtime over mealtime and that they get turned off from utensils once they are force fed, but as a worried mum I still continued to force feed her - there was no other way. But I found within the recent weeks she's eating willingly and more than ever! (Which relieves so much of my stress).
  • Twist and turn - When it comes to Maddy and her walker she now has learned how to maneuver, twist and turn herself around rather than the usual walk in a straight line until you hit the wall and stay there. Haha! I've had to pay extra attention to her when she's in her walker because she enters rooms by herself.
That's about all for this months baby babble update when it comes to Maddy's major developments over the last 2 months.

Enjoying her morning breakfast.

Her Links seem to be her favourite toy out of the bunch.

Giving up after I tried putting her on her fours - LOL!

Spending some family time with her Aunty Jennifer

You see what her growing appetite has done to her face? I LOVE IT!

Blowing out her 7 Month cake last month at her Grandma's house.

Mr Pham and I seem more interested in blowing out the cake than she does.

Just a family moment

Of course she wouldn't refuse a tiny taste of icing.

Making a mess as per usual. How can someone so little make so much mess? Haha!

Baby Babble: Someone is turning 6 Months!

Yay! In a couple of days (19th)  baby girl will be half a year old, and boy has she grown so big! She is officially the length of my shoulder down to my hips, and she weighs a tonne (my poor back).

Through out this month there has been so much going on in her life:
  • Her daddy has bought her a walker - which she absolutely loves
  • She's gotten her first tooth!! - I wish I could take a photo but she refuses to let me.
  • She is able to sit for long amounts of time (without even using her hands for support!)
  • She started drinking from a sippy cup (which she's addicted too!)
  • Mr Pham and I have introduced teething rusks to her
  • She has started attempting to feed herself
  • She is more involved with her toys, loves reaching for absolutely everything (which makes it hard when we do Facetime with my parents haha.)
This past month Mr Pham had updated my camera... So all I've been doing is taking snap shots of Maddy. Bubba is such a character!

Baby Girl enjoying her new walker - it amazes me when she plays and fusses over her toys.

She absolutely loves chewing on her teething rusks.

Dirty little grub - she loves chocolate custard!

Happy 2013 Mothers Day!

Happy Mothers Day to all mothers out there!
I woke up from a wonderful greeting from Madeleine and Mr Pham, got spoilt rotten with gifts, spent the morning at church, lunch at my mothers house and ended it with yummy dinner at a Thai Restaurant.
Just like the month of December, I felt like all I did was eat and get presents.
I hope you all had a beautiful Mothers Day!

Madeleine surprising me in the morning by hogging the entire bed.
The sweetest card a mother could've gotten. (of course Mr Pham wrote it)
After Sunday Morning Service, all the mothers were greeted with a rose and box of chocolates.
Token shot with yummy mummy Sarah

The Mothers Day Gift Table set up - after all the mothers attacked it. haha.

Dessert made by sister, Im ashamed to say, I probably ate half of the entire thing.

I've always hated feet, until I met my daughters.

Wonderful Gifts from everyone <3
The Delicious Cup Cake from gorgeous Miss AA
My babies pooped out from organizing such a big day. ps: Check out her adorable chubby thigh!
Being a mother is one of the toughest jobs any woman could do, but it is one of the most rewarding. I look at my daughter and I wonder, how could I be so blessed to have someone so wonderful in my life? To see her reaching for toys, to reach and touch my face, or to look into my eyes and smile - She inspires a huge spark in my heart and I just melt in the palm of her hands.
I want to protect her, I want to be the one who makes her smile and laugh - I'm so in love with her.
Being a mother to a beautiful angel like her has got to be the greatest present I could ever get.
