Maddy And Me: January Read - The Carrie Diaries

For January I have read "The Carrie Diaries" written by Candace Bushnell. What made me actually pick this book up and buy it is because two weeks after I had given birth I watched the "Sex and The City"series during all of Maddys feeds to keep me awake. And because Candace Bushnell is the author of "Sex and The City" I thought this ought to be a tiny bit interesting.

"The Carrie Diaries" is the prequel to "Sex and The City", based on the life Carrie Bradshaw lived before we knew SITC.

It was written pretty well, I had those moments where I couldn't put the book down and stayed up to the wee hours of the morning trying to finish it. It's a teenage romance novel based in the 80's, with lots of teenage drama, first kisses and crazy fashion. I did enjoy reading it and even though I am a mother and a wife I still enjoy my teen romance novels.

They've now made it into a show and looking at pictures online the fashion is very inspiring and pretty awesome, they did a wonderful job at incorporating the 80's fashion into the now generation to keep us interested. It's full of A line hem's, bold colors and crazy patterns!
