For years I was always in search of a cure to my problem skin, from drug store products to high end products, nothing seemed to work. From subscribing to Pro Active, watching my diet, to prescribing to the pill - I had pretty much tried everything in hopes to get better skin and cure my dilemma.
After spending years and a fortune testing and trialing, I am glad to finally say, I have found products and a routine that has left my skin in the best condition it has ever been since before puberty!
No matter how tired or lazy I am (even when Mr Pham and I come home late from a night out), I always make it a priority to follow this routine for the best results.
Now you may be wondering why I only mentioned "Winter" in the title, that is because I had found that when the seasons change, so does the weather conditions, thus my skins condition. So I do have a different routine for the Warmer Seasons, to accommodate and provide the different vitamins and nutrients my skin needs.
Now this may seem like a great deal of products, but keep in mind every product mentioned has a purpose (that it has successfully fulfilled) with my skin.
The problems I had with my skin that I wanted to improve was:
- Acne
- Fine Lines
- Enlarged Pores
- Black Heads
- Flaking (even with oily skin, we do get it in the Winter time)
- Scarring (From Acne & other ailments)
- Elasticity (I wanted brighter and more youthful skin)
- Pigmentation (I had the worst case of this, one touch to my face and it would immediately turn red!)
- Balance my skin levels, to control the oil as the day progresses.
- To sum it all up, I wanted to enjoy putting on and playing with make up rather than always finding it a task to hide all my blemishes.
Step One - Remove all make up
The Face Shop - Rice Water Cleansing Light Oil
This is the product I use to remove all my make up at the end of the day.

Step Five - Rose Hip Oil (only at Night, because of the texture).

There are various brands of Rose Hip Oil, this specific brand can be purchased from Australia's Priceline.
- Repairs skin damage, scarring, acne scarring and hyper pigmentation

Aveeno - Positively Radiant, Intensive Night Cream.
I then lightly pat this over my entire face and neck, I've found this step leaves my skin so soft and subtle when I wake up the next morning.

Step Nine - Lips (Day + Night)
Carmex Original Flavour

Body
Body Moisturizing Cream
Aveeno - Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion
I apply liberally both day and night to my entire body. If you are just like me and get an extremely dry back during Winter, this product is perfect - no more itching when your trying to sleep at night! Especially awesome for us Asians who seem to always get dry elbows.
Foot Cream
Neutrogena Foot Cream
At night I always apply this to my feet and put on socks afterwards to lock in the moisture.
I have no idea why, but ever since I gave birth my feet has been out of control (tmi?), I had tried a lot of different "remedies", from Vaseline (ugh), to Skin Filers. but nothing gave me the results like this cream does.
Can be purchased from any Major Drugstores or Pharmacy.
Winter Masks
Tony Moly - Green Appletox
As I stated before, even us Oily Skinned people get dry skin in Winter. I especially get dry skin around my cheeks and nose.
This mask helps extremely well when you need an emergency fixer (because I know how annoying it can get when you are applying foundation and see your dry skin underneath), or if you just want to pamper yourself. It gently peels off your dry and flaking skin, leaving it smooth, soothed and brilliant!
I just simply massage a 50c amount onto my cleansed and dried face for 1 -2 minutes and wash off with warm water after 30 seconds.
Has various stores in Sydney City, can also be purchased from eBay, or yesstyle.
Tony Moly - Red Tomatox
I tend to use this mask straight after I've done the Green Appletox Mask.
This helps to brighten, whiten, clear and moisturize my face, leaving my skin subtle, soft and refreshed.
I massage the product into my face and leave it on for about 10 minutes, I then splash it off with warm water and admire the difference.
Has various stores in Sydney City, can also be purchased from eBay, or yesstyle.
Etude House - Red Ginseng Mask
There are various Red Ginseng Masks out there. This is what works well for me.
This mask I try to use around once a week - when I feel like I need to pamper myself.
It helps restore skins strength after being damaged by stress, pollution and weather. It also leaves my skin feeling more firm and smooth.
I leave the sheet on for about 20 - 25 minutes and then pat any left over liquid on my face.
Tony Moly - Egg Pore Tightening Pack
Now if you are like me and get really self conscious about your pores or black heads, this product is perfect for you.
It cleans out your black heads and tightens up your pores.
I simply put a layer over my nose area and leave until the clay has dried and hardened. I then rinse it off with warm water.
Has various stores in Sydney City, can also be purchased from eBay, or yesstyle.
That pretty much sums up my Winter Routine for my skin, I hope you all enjoyed this VERY long post, and do take into consideration some of the products I recommend for you all.
Have you got any products that have helped with your troublesome skin? Let me know! I'm always excited when it comes to Skin Care.
