DIY: Those Matching D&G Earrings

Enjoyed the Dolce & Gabbana Inspired Head Band DIY Tutorial? Click HERE to see the Tutorial.
This is an easy DIY Tutorial on how you can make the matching Dolce & Gabbana inspired earrings!

Inspired: After researching pictures for the D&G Head Band DIY Tutorial that Fashion Blogger A&C requested, I had noticed they all were paired with matching earrings. I fell in love. The headband with the matching earrings was a perfect marriage. I couldn't help but make my own pair.

Verdict: I am obsessed (thank you A&C!). They look so delicate, romantic and rich. I have a specific outfit in mind for these babies and am currently in search for a specific top. I cannot wait to take these babies out of town!

Materials You Will Need:
  • Scissors
  • Clear PVC (fabric store)
  • Good Quality Industrial Glue (eBay)
  • Fabric Flowers (Dollar Store)
  • Beads (Dollar Store)
  • 2 Earring Head Pins

Tip: You can get different types of beads, just make sure it's in the same color palette as your headband.

Step One
Assemble your design for the earrings before gluing them down. I had opted for a tear drop shape, something about it says romance to me.
Tip: I had used the larger bead as a center piece for a focal point and used the smaller black beads to frame the earrings and bring all the colors together.

Step Two
After you are happy with your design, use your good industrial glue and glue down the design onto your PVC.
Allow your earrings to dry, I had left mine overnight to dry.

Tip: It can get messy and very tricky, you can use a tooth pick to help apply the glue for the smaller beads, and use tweezers to place them down.

Step Three
Once they are completely dry, use your scissors and cut out your earrings, as close to the beads as possible.

Step Four
Use your Industrial Glue and glue down your earring headpins to the top back of your earrings - as indicated in the picture.

Gorgeous! You like? Make a pair!

Styling.
Now you have something to match your Dolce & Gabbana Head Band!

DIY: Those expensive looking statement earrings.

An easy tutorial on how you can DIY your own pair of expensive looking statement earrings.

Inspirations: I'm a definite window shopper when it comes to expensive jewellery pieces, the only jewellery I will splurge on is a watch... and that's because it's functional. After window shopping a bajillion times on earrings that I want in my possession, I decided "hey! cut the crap and make your own."

Verdict: Cheap to make and sturdy! I spent about $5AU on the materials (with the beading) at the dollar store, everything else I had at home.

Materials You Will Need:
  • Pair of scissors
  • PVC (bought from fabric stores)
  • Beads/Jems (Dollar Store)
  • 2 Earring Head Pins (Dollar Store)
  • Quality Industrial Glue (E-6000 from Ebay)

Step One:
Arrange the design of your earrings and how you would like the Beads/Jems to be glued.

Step Two:
Glue the pieces down onto your PVC.

Allow to dry.

Step Three:
Cut out your piece as close to the beads as possible. Try and avoid the PVC peeking through the front view of your jewellery piece.

Step Four:
Glue your Earring Head Pins at the back of each earring.
Allow adequate time for everything to dry.

Gorgeous! You have now completed your own pair of expensive looking statement earrings. Enjoy making!
